Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara, Push Up Liner, and Remover

Urban Decay says that their three Naked Palettes are the "Perfect Threesome", but I am going to have to disagree and give the "Perfect Threesome" Award to Benefit's They're Real line.
Benefit's They're Real Mascara has been out for a long time now. Not only does this mascara lengthen it also creates volume, curls, lifts and separates the lashes. This is the only mascara I can use that will allow my long lashes to blend into false lashes and I swear by it. Not only is the formula long lasting, the brush allows for you to get every single lash, which is a lot harder to do then you would ever think. This brush has a ball on the very top that contains bristles, this allows for you to reach all the way into the corner of your eye to hit all the baby lashes in that area.
Now for the newbie and probably the feature of this line. The Push up Liner is the first gel liner pen and it took 5 years to create. Benefit's big thing is that this liner is suppose to be easy and it is, but don't expect to get it on your first try. Benefit has been at my Ulta for weeks teaching us, employees, how to use this liner and I have had to use it a couple times before I could get the results I wanted. I have been using liquid liner for years and i'd like to think I have finally mastered it. It took me two weeks to master this liner and that's crazy because it took me years to master liquid liner. Don't be discouraged your first time, keep trying and don't be afraid to go to your local Ulta for help, we got a lot of training on this pen. After cranking the pen enough to get product out I recommend wiping some of it off and then dipping the pen back in for more if you need it. It will glob up on your eye if you don't. This liner is AMAZING.

The last member of the Threesome is the remover. I warn you that this is the ONLY remover that can remove the eyeliner from your eyes. I have used some heavy duty oil based makeup removers and they do not take the eye liner off. Apply some to your eye with a cotton ball or pad and let it sit for 20 seconds top. Wet a cotton pad or ball and begin to wipe your eye makeup away and it will come right up. If you buy the liner you must buy the remover, you will thank me later.

I think Benefit did a great job with this line. You can get the They're Real Mascara now at Ulta for $23! The They're Real Push Up Liner is at Ulta.com now for $24 (does not come into stores until 06/27) and the They're Real Remover will be $18 when it launches on 06/27!!!!!!

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE BAR PALETTE REVIEW & SWATCHES!!!!!!!

I LOVE this palette! Let's start with the packaging. Too Faced definitely stepped up their game when it comes to uniqueness. This palette is in a medal tin and closes with a magnetic latch. Also it is shaped to look like a Hershey's Chocolate Bar (as you can see) :) But the best part of the packaging is when you open it up.

There is a fairly good size mirror, in comparison to the size of the palette itself, and the gold lettering reminds me of the gold tickets in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Each Shadow pan sits in a plastic tray that looks like it can be removed from the metal tin. The palette also comes with a clear sheet that sits above the shadows with all the shadow names on it. I personally hate this about the packaging. I would rather they just print the names on the plastic tray, but it is something I can deal with. Lastly there are 16 shades in the palette and 2 of those shades are about double the size.

Now on to the part that you're actually here for, THE SHADES. First thing first though is that these shadows are all made with pure, antioxidant-rich coco powder, which makes the palette smell like chocolate YUMMMM!!!!

The first shade is Gilded Ganache and it is a satin dark brown with gold glitter. This shade is extremely smooth and the glitter isn't extremely noticeable unless you use a tacky base (like too faced glitter glue).

The second shade is White Chocolate and this is matte light beige color. I am not to fond of the pigmentation of this shade and it isn't a very good highlight shade for fairer skin tones but works well for medium to deep skin tones. This shade can be used as a base color to help with blending out shades on fairer skin tones (on the positive side). Also this shade is about double the size of the others.

The third shade is Milk Chocolate and it is a taupe brown satin. This is a great universal crease blending color and it is so smooth.

The fourth shade is Black Forest Truffle and it is a deep burgundy plum shade with gold glitter. Just like Gilded Ganache, the glitter isn't extremely noticeable. I would have to say I don't have a shade like this one at all in my collection and I find this shade to be pretty unique.

The fifth shade is Triple Fudge and it is a dark matte brown. This color is great to darken up the crease. This shade does tug a lot, but when I used White Chocolate to blend it out it was much easier to maneuver.

The sixth shade is Salted Caramel and it is a matte orange brown. This shade is very similar to Milk Chocolate, but more on the warmer side. This shade is also very smooth and easy to blend.

The seventh shade is Marzipan and it is a very shimmery pink beige. This shade is so beautiful and super smooth. I wish this shade was one of the larger ones because I would honestly use it as a cheekbone highlight.
The eighth shade is Semi-Sweet and it is a matte medium brown. I honestly don't care for this shade; it isn't the worst shade, but it also isn't the best. It also doesn't have the best texture.

The ninth shade is Strawberry Bon Bon and it is a slightly shimmery light pink. This is the disappointment of the palette. In the pan this color looks stunning, but it has next to no pigmentation. Even with a white base this color isn't up to par. It is so sad because it is so gorgeous :(

The tenth shade is Candid Violet and it is a deep purple with a brighter purple shimmer. This color isn't super pigmented and has some fall out, but with a white base the pigmentation is great.

The eleventh shade is Amaretto and it is a copper shimmer. This is a gorgeous pigmented shade and looks great with blue eyes.

The twelfth shade is Hazelnut and it is a warm brown with gold shimmer. This shade has great color payoff and is super smooth.

The thirteenth shade is Creme Brulee and it is a gold shimmer. This is a beautiful color and is extremely pigmented. One of my favorite colors in the palette.

The fourteenth shade is Haute Chocolate and it is a taupe shimmery brown. I love the name and the shade is nice. Nothing to special, but pretty.

The fifteenth shade is Cherry Cordial and it is a satin burgundy with a slight silver glitter. This shade comes off just like it looks in the pan and the glitter stays subtle.

The sixteenth and final shade is Champagne Truffle and it is a very glittery and shimmery pink beige. This color is beautiful in the tear duck and inner corner. It is also one of the shades that are double the size.

Overall this palette is gorgeous and the shades work so well together. I spent months looking at this palette and kept leaving the store without it and I am so sad that I waited this long, but I am happy that I finally gave in. The smell is the reason I fell for it and the shades are the reason I kept it. This is a great buy. You can buy the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette at Ulta for $49, which averages out to about $3.06 a shadow!! I highly recommend it!!
